Alliance Leisure Services is undertaking a £1m project - wholly funded and project managed by the company - at Rossendale Leisure Trust’s Haslingden Sports Centre to ceate a new fitness suite.
The 280sq m facility will feature 60 Life Fitness stations and is part of a two-storey extension to the current building which will also create a 170sq m aerobics studio and 107sq m combat and multi purpose room on the first floor.
The Trust intends to build membership to 1,500, with the aim of increasing the exercise equipment in the fitness suite to 80 stations.
The redevelopment will also substantially upgrade the member changing rooms and develop changing for team sports, including upgrades to lockers and showers and Disability Discrimination Act approved access.
Alliance Leisure has worked with Rossendale Leisure Trust in the past, when it was involved in the development of Pendle Leisure Trust's fitness suite elsewhere in Lancashire in 2003.
