7thSenses Media Servers drive 16 attractions throughout the Motiongate and Bollywood parks
High-performance media specialists 7thSense Design has announced its key technology supplier status with Dubai Parks and Resorts.

Dubai Parks and Resorts is the largest theme park in the Middle East. It plays host to Legoland Dubai, Legoland Waterpark, Motiongate Dubai, Bollywood Parks Dubai and Riverland Dubai, with Six Flags Dubai expected to open in late 2019.

Motiongate is a Hollywood inspired park that unites IP from major film studios, Lionsgate, Dreamworks Animation and Columbia Pictures. The park is spread across five different zones, and features 27 key rides and attractions, including roller coasters, multi-media dark rides and media-based theatre shows.

Bollywood Parks gives visitors an authentic Bollywood experience. Like Motiongate it is spread across five zones and features live action entertainment, themed rides and attractions. It also features the 856-seat Rajmahal Theatre that hosts a ticketed, Broadway-style Bollywood musical.

7thSense media servers power 16 rides and attractions throughout the Motiongate and Bollywood parks.

7thSense partnered with DXB Entertainments, Dubai Parks and Resorts prime contractor, to design solutions that would meet the specifications for the individual experiences.

Michael Carroll, director of Media Protection, Media Systems and Research and Development at DXB Entertainments, says: “Dubai Parks has enjoyed a strong working relationship with 7thSense. The many systems that we have playing back media throughout the resort have performed extremely well and 7thSense has provided great support whenever we have needed it.”

Richard Brown, CTO at 7thSense, says: “We build everything to specification, often creating new features or capabilities on request, attractions operators and integrators choose our systems as they do what is required of them with the highest levels of performance and dependability.”

Brown adds: “We’re honoured to be working among the world-class team on this project.”
